3 More Bronze medals for Canada
Another productive and magical day for Canada at the 2016 Rio Summer Olympics. 3 more bronze medals and for a brief moment Canada almost had a fourth.
The women's soccer team defeated the host country Brazil 2-1 to capture the bronze medal.
The 2nd bronze came via Eric Lamaze in Olympic Equestrian.
The last but not least the Men's 4x100 Relay was originally fourth but the US team who finished 3rd was disqualified and thus Canada was awarded the bronze medal. The 4x100 feature Andre De Grasse who added a third medal to his total.
In a bizarre twist, Evan Dunfee was awarded a bronze after the Japanese were disqualified for elbowing Dunfee. the Japanese put in a protest which returned the bronze back to Japan.
We could have had a fourth, but nonetheless another marvelous day for our Canadian Athletes at The Rio Summer Olympics.
Brampton sends a congratulations to all our athletes for a magnificent effort and their unwavering sacrifice.
