The Championship was held at Memorial Arena in Brampton from August 12 to the 24, and featured 4 teams, Six-Nations Arrows, Coquitlam Adanacs, Mimico Mountaineers, and the Okotoks Raiders.  The Brampton Excelsiors Lacrosse Association hosted the event.

The Minto Cup has been in existance since  1901 awarded to the Canadian Junior A Mens Lacrosse champion. The Cup was donated in 1901 by Lord Minton and the 1st Champion were The Ottawa Capitals  
who defeated Cornwall.

After the short Round Robin, Six-Nations were given a bye to the finals after going undefeated.  Coquitlam and Mimico played a semi-final which Coquitlam won handedly 10-4, to advance to the Best of 5 Final against Six-Nations.

Memorial Arena was almost filled to capacity for the final game, many fans traveled from Six-Nations with their families to cheer on their Arrows.
Game 3 of the Minto Cup Junior A Championships Finals. Six-Nations Arrows defeated the Coquitlam Adanacs 8-3 to win the best of 5 final in a three game sweep.

For 2 periods Coquitlam played tough, Six-Nations jumped out to a quick 2 goal lead in the 1st period only to have it evaporated by Coquitlam who scored three goals to grab the lead after 1 period.  In the 2nd period only one goal scored by six-Nations to tie the game leading into the third.

 Henceforth, the 3rd period was all Six-Nations, scoring 5 unanswered goals, 



including two from Owen Hill and the game winner, to help capture the 2017 Minto Cup Championship..




For Six-Nations, this was their third Minto Cup victory in 4 years.  They defeated The 2016 Champs The Coquitlam Adanacs 3 games to 0.

A great week of terrific competition and bone crashing exhilarating lacrosse action that saw Brampton's old Memorial Arena explode into a beacon of rabid lacrosse fans eager to cheer on their team with passion to victory.
